Every kids story on The Kids Story follows the same standards, so parents and teachers can trust what their children read.

Our standards

• Age-appropriate: simple words for younger children, longer stories for confident readers, with the reading time shown on every story.
• Gentle themes: no frightening, violent or unkind content; stories end calmly and positively.
• A clear message: most stories teach a value such as kindness, honesty, sharing or courage.
• Original work: stories are written or retold in our own words. Classic tales are retold, never copied.

Review before publishing

Every story is read and checked by a member of our team for language, tone and accuracy before it goes live.

Corrections

If you spot a mistake or something that does not feel right for children, please tell us. We review every report and update the story quickly.
